Mass Testing Ordered in Lanzhou as City Placed Under Lockdown Over COVID-19 Outbreak

Lanzhou’s four million residents were subject to mass testing for COVID-19 in China’s Gansu province on October 26, as the city was placed under lockdown in response to an outbreak of coronavirus.

Residents were urged not to leave their homes except for purchasing essential goods and medical treatment a post from the city’s Propaganda Department said.

Health authorities reported 50 new cases in China on October 27, with 3 of them in Lanzhou bringing the city’s total to 42 cases.
