Masked Easter marchers rattle through Czech town

The marchers walked with white masks, black attire, and a wooden rotating wheel that makes a rattling sound as they are rolled on the cobbled streets of the town.

According to the traditional belief the noise "symbolically drives the evil out," organizers said.

The event, which marks Good Friday, takes place every year - except for 2020, when it was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This year's edition got special approval from local authorities, with the condition that participants kept a two-meter distance and wore face coverings.
