When it comes to film preservation efforts, Scorsese remains pretty much unmatched. It feels like the director has devoted as much time to championing film history through his non-profit organization The Film Foundation and educational documentaries such as “A Personal Journey with Martin Scorsese Through American Movies” as to his own directorial efforts.
