Martha Stewart Is Not Hosting Thanksgiving This Year for the Most Relatable Reason
"I am turkeyed out."
The queen of hosting is over it, and honestly, we don't blame her. On Thursday's episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Martha Stewart admitted that she won't be throwing a Thanksgiving dinner this year.
"I gave up Thanksgiving. I canceled," she told Clarkson. "Nine guests canceled because somebody got sick. So ... I called up my chef friend and I said, 'We’re not doing Thanksgiving.'"
Not to mention, Stewart has already done her fair share of cooking ahead of the holiday and the annual preparation is enough to last anyone for the whole year. "I’ve also cooked 14 turkeys already for my TV show, and I still have to [cook] one more turkey on the Today show," she explained. "So, forget it."
Clarkson then asked Stewart if she was "all turkeyed out," to which Stewart naturally replied, "I am turkeyed out."
But Stewart still plans to join in on the celebration by attending her friends' festivities. "I made a plan," she said. "Friends, of course, invited me to their home, so I’m going to about five different homes to taste different courses."
Despite her Thanksgiving fatigue, Stewart, Clarkson, and the other guest WNBA star Candace Parker got in the holiday spirit by mixing up some on-theme drinks before toasting each other.

On Thursday night, Stewart skipped right over Turkey Day and ushered in the Christmas season by attending the Bergdorf Goodman holiday window unveiling party in a stunning silver flower-embossed midi dress that she paired with gold platform wedges and a white puffer coat.
She aptly accessorized with an ornate metal handbag, a chunky pearl choker, and diamond-and-pearl drop earrings.
