Mark Lee surprised by Golden Horse Best Actor nomination

1 Oct – Mark Lee recently admitted that he did not expect to be nominated for his performance in the movie "Number 1" at the 57th Golden Horse Awards.

The Singaporean actor, who shared his thoughts on Instagram Story on 30 September following the release of the nominations list, stated, "I've yet to return to my senses. I'm just happy to be nominated. Thank you to the judges of the Golden Horse Awards for recognising my work."

Lee will be competing against Hong Kong actor Gordon Lam ("Hand Rolled Cigarette"), as well as Taiwanese actors Liu Kuan-ting ("My Missing Valentine"), Lin Bo-hong ("I WeirDo") and Mo Tzu-yi ("Dear Tenant").

The Ong Kuo Sin movie, which sees Lee playing the role of a man becoming a drag queen to support his family following a retrenchment, has yet to be released.
