MARINA ISLAND JETTY TO CLOSE UNTIL MARCH 31

MUNIRAH MUSTHPAR

LUMUT, March 21 (Bernama) -- The Marina Island jetty, Teluk Muroh here has been closed for the public beginning today until March 31 following the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO).

Manjung district officer Zulhisham Ahmad Shukori said during that period, the jetty would only open for government agencies such as the Health Ministry for emergency cases as it is the shortest way to get to the Pangkor Island.

However, the Manjung district Disaster Management Committee chairman said the Lumut jetty would remain open as usual and the public would be notified of any changes from time to time.

The public especially residents of the Pangkor Island must comply with the MCO which came into force to curb the spread of COVID-19, he said in a statement here today.
