A Délı̨nę man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a death in the community earlier this month.

Jonathan Tetso, 38, has been taken into custody until a future court date, according to an RCMP press release Tuesday.

On March 9, Délı̨nę RCMP responded to a call to check on a person in a Délı̨nę home, the release states. That man was found with serious injuries and taken to the community's health centre. He died a short time later, RCMP say.

Tetso has previously pleaded guilty to manslaughter for the death of his adoptive mother in 2016. He was sentenced to four-and-a-half years for that charge.

RCMP did not provide details on the nature of the deceased's wounds and say the investigation remains on-going.
