A South Korean resident kept up his gym routine by wearing a mask while doing squats in Busan, South Korea, on March 16.
Daniel Gedacht filmed a video of himself squatting with a kettlebell in a gym with a mask.
“Masks are mandatory at my gym,” Gedacht wrote in the Instagram post.
Gedacht told Storyful that many gyms in South Korea had reopened after they had been shut in early February because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He said the gyms had been professionally disinfected before being reopened to the public.
“Some require hand sanitizing and temperature checks upon entry, and others require the use of a mask while working out,” Gedacht told Storyful.
South Korea had recorded a total of 8,320 confirmed cases and 81 deaths of COVID-19 on March 17, according to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. Credit: Daniel Gedacht via Storyful
