Liverpool and Man Utd are converging over a PSG phenom and are showing ‘strong’ interest, while two French reports have confirmed the first step towards a damaging exit has been taken.

The upcoming summer is poised to see major change sweep across Paris. Lionel Messi and Neymar could both depart and today’s Transfer Gossip detailed which Premier League ace PSG hope to sign to replace Messi.

Barcelona are desperate to bring the Argentine megastar back to the Camp Nou. Their hopes rest entirely on making a deal conform with Financial Fair Play. Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal are also plotting a move and they won’t be hamstrung by financial constraints.

But while Messi and Neymar exits will be greeted warmly in some circles in Paris, losing rising centre-back, El Chadaille Bitshiabu, would be nothing short of disastrous.

Despite being just 17 years of age, Bitshiabu has already forced his way into manager Christophe Galtier’s plans this season.

Bitshiabu has made 10 Ligue 1 appearances this term and per Le10Sport, his influence is only set to grow over the coming years.

However, the French outlet claim Bitshiabu’s rapid rise is attracting heavyweight attention. German pair Borussia Dortmund and Frankfurt were the first to register interest, though have now been joined by Man Utd and Liverpool.

Indeed, the English pair’s interest is labelled ‘strong’ and losing such a promising homegrown star who is already featuring for France’s Under-19s would be calamitous for PSG.

Bitshiabu gears up for PSG exit?

Adding fuel to the fire is confirmation Bitshiabu has appointed well-known super-agent Jorge Mendes to run his affairs.

That news was first broken by L’Equipe and is now confirmed by Le10Sport. Mendes is not known for keeping his clients in the same place for very long.

Another interesting wrinkle in the future of the 6ft 5in centre-half is the fact his current contract in Paris only has one more year left to run. It expires in the summer of 2024 and Le10Sport add all options remain open.

Bitshiabu and Mendes will reportedly listen to what PSG have to say regarding their project in a potentially post-Messi and Neymar team. However, the idea of a shock exit this summer is not ruled out either.

One factor that could contribute towards an exit is the imminent arrival of Milan Skriniar.

The Slovakian will arrive from Inter Milan as a free agent at season’s end and will expect to walk straight into the starting eleven.

Even if the rapidly declining Sergio Ramos departs, PSG will have three high profile and established defenders in front of Bitshiabu in the form of Skriniar, Presnel Kimpembe and Marquinhos.

If Bitshiabu and his representatives decide to explore a move, Liverpool and Man Utd will be ready to strike.
