Premier League side Man Utd will allow Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay to leave in the summer transfer window, according to reports.

Erik ten Hag made big changes to the squad in the summer with Christian Eriksen, Casemiro and Lisandro Martinez among the new signings who have made a big difference this season.

Maguire and McTominay have seen less playing time as a result and there have been rumours that both could leave in the near future.

And now talkSPORT‘s resident ‘transfer guru’ Alex Crook claims that Man Utd have decided that they will “cash in on” both players in the summer.

Crook wrote: “Manchester United are ready to cash in on both Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay – but not until the summer.

“England defender Maguire has been subject of interest from West Ham this month while United have rejected approaches for McTominay from both Southampton and Newcastle.

“Manager Erik ten Hag believes both Maguire and McTominay have parts to play this season, despite neither being guaranteed starters.

“With United still competing in four competitions, Ten Hag is reluctant to weaken an already thin squad.

“The Glazer family hope to have sold the Premier League giants by the time the summer transfer window comes around.

“However due to FFP rules, United still need to raise funds from players sales before being able to invest heavily on new recruits.”

Troy Deeney has revealed how Harry Maguire’s agent once unleashed an “aggressive” rant on him after he questioned why other senior players weren’t getting as much stick as Paul Pogba with Man Utd struggling under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

He namedropped Maguire and the Man Utd captain’s leadership as part of the problem before getting an angry call from the centre-back’s agent.

Deeney told Ben Foster on his Fozcast YouTube channel: “We spoke about Man United [on talkSPORT] and the leadership and how it’s not just [Paul] Pogba, because it was Pogba getting battered early doors.

“I said ‘what about the leadership’? What about Maguire what about David de Gea? What about all the senior guys, why is it always Pogba? That’s it, that’s all I said.

“I get to training, phone’s ringing with this number I don’t know. Two or three times this number calls so I think ‘god there must be a problem here’.

“I picked it up and yeah, it was Harry Maguire’s agent saying ‘you can’t say this, you can’t do that’.

“I’ve never said this out loud before by the way, but he said ‘you can’t do this you, you can’t say that, you wouldn’t say any of this to Harry’s face’.

“I said ‘hang on one second, let’s rewind. I have said this, I didn’t say that, but I would say it to Harry’s face, I’ve got no problem. Let me call him now’, because I don’t think he knew I had his number, and [I said] ‘I’ll come back to you’.”

On the call to Maguire, Deeney added: “I called him and he’s got no clue what’s going on,

“I phoned the agent back and said ‘look, with the greatest respect, please don’t phone my phone giving it the biggun because I’m not that guy and you’ll have a problem you don’t want.

“To be fair to Harry he said the same thing, he was like ‘I don’t know what all that’s about’.

“I said ‘look mate, it’s not a problem. But the way he phoned and the aggression he was having, younger me would’ve taken that a lot more personally.

“Come on, this is what I’ve said, I’ll tell you to your face, I’ve got no problem’.”
