Man sought after sexual assault 'involving bodily fluid' on Tube station escalators
A man sexually assaulted a teenage girl after putting apparent “bodily fluid” on her leg at a south London Tube station.
Detectives on Thursday said they were investigating two sexual assaults at around 5pm on March 22 on the escalators at North Greenwich Tube station.
The victims were both teenage girls.
In the first incident, the girl was standing on the escalator leaving the station when she felt something wet on her leg, which “appeared to be body fluid” from the man standing behind her, police said.
In the second incident another teenage girl was on the escalator when she felt something wet hit her back and bottom. The man then sexually assaulted her, detectives said.
Issuing a CCTV image, police said they would like to speak to the man pictured as they believe he could have information to help them with their enquiries.
They also urged anyone who may have experienced a similar incident to come forward.
Anyone who recognises the man is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference number 574 of 22 March.
