Man Rides Storm Ida Floodwaters in Hoboken

A man took advantage of the flooded roadways in Hoboken, New Jersey, on September 1, by catching waves made by Storm Ida floodwaters.

Video shot by Henry Baldwin shows the man bodyboarding down the flooded streets.

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood emergency for New York and Northeast New Jersey, calling it an “exceedingly rare” and dangerous situation.

New Jersey Gov Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency in response to the severe weather.
