Man Remonstrates With Bus Driver as Travel Frustrations Build in Strike-Hit London

A man at a thronged London bus stop blocked the path of a bus and demanded the driver open its doors to those waiting as a rail strike made life difficult for commuters on Tuesday, June 21.

Video posted by @zimokapino shows the man standing in the bus’s path at Blackhorse Road Station as a large group waits at the bus stop.

The source told Storyful that the man had seen a number of buses pass without stopping. He then saw another about to drive past and stopped it in the middle of the road.

The source said he took the video at 7 am and had been waiting at least half an hour for a bus himself.

The strike affected the national rail network, as well as London’s Tube, Overground and other services. Further strikes were planned from June 23 and 25. Credit: @zimokapino via Storyful
