A man in China had an incredibly lucky escape when a minibus lost control in heavy snow on the road he was walking on, on Sunday 7 November. During heavy snow in Shenyang city, Liaoning Province, the man walked down a street carrying an umbrella. CCTV showed him apparently oblivious to a minibus careening down the street behind him, having lost control in the icy conditions. Fortunately the out-of-control minibus span into a parked minibus at an angle, right after the pedestrian had passed it, and potentially serious injury if he had been caught between the two vehicles. He did get a shock though, when the side of the minibus pushed him forward suddenly. Traffic police said the van driver will take full responsibility for the accident.
