KUALA LUMPUR, June 19 — If mosquito bites pose a problem to your babies, fret not with MamyPoko’s antimos pants.

Touted to be the first of its kind in the world, the product is said to be able to protect babies from mosquitoes.

In a statement, MamyPoko distributor Unicharm Malaysia said 48,712 dengue cases have been reported in the 22nd epidemiological week, which is equivalent to a 158 per cent increase from the same period last year.

Produced with a Japan-patented technology, the diaper pants can effectively repel mosquitoes with its natural lemongrass extract that lasts up to eight hours.

Besides the ability to repel mosquitoes, the diaper is also equipped with the Big Dry Zone+ technology, which takes care of absorbency and dryness for up to 10 hours.

In a recent consumer trial, 90 per cent of mothers who tried the product on their child found it to be effective in repelling mosquitoes.

Brand ambassador Mira Filzah said the new MamyPoko Antimos pants were like having an extra shield of protection for babies against mosquito bites. The diaper pants, she added, were also fantastic at keeping her son dry and preventing any skin irritation.

“It’s truly an all-in-one solution that brings both comfort to my little one,” said the mother of one child.

In conjunction with the launch of the product, MamyPoko also introduced mamypokoagainstdengue.com, a website dedicated to the fight against dengue.

This website provides mothers with information and resources on dengue prevention.

It features the latest updates on dengue so parents can check if their home is located within a dengue hotspot.

It also shares real-life dengue stories and details about the new MamyPoko Antimos Pants.
