Malaysia's rock queen Ella promises June concert will be affordable, to launch autobiography on June 10
KUALA LUMPUR, March 11 — Malaysian rock queen Ella will be having her 35th anniversary concert this June 10 at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil.
The Jilid Akhir: Ella Puteri Kota concert announcement came just over a week after Ella left fans, especially her Instagram followers wondering, when she took down most of her Instagram posts.
She also proceeded to leave a ‘Thank you for 35 years’ post on it.
In a special press conference, Ella or her real name Nor Zilla Aminuddin denied that her move was a gimmick.
Instead her intention was to let her fans of 35 years know that she appreciated them.
However, the 57-year-old singer admitted she was taken aback after fans and the public had speculated that she was retiring from the music industry.
"I received many comments asking ‘why’, some were saying ‘please not now’, and there are those asking ‘please one more concert’.
"I was surprised by all the reactions. I felt challenged, sad and happy at the same time and also a bit guilty. Which is why I’ve been counting the days toward this announcement.
"I just want to thank all my fans for supporting me these last 35 years,” she said.
The Standing in the Eyes of the World singer added that this was not the end for her yet and her ‘media blackout’ had made her realise that there were still many fans who wanted to see her "live" in concert.

Ella will also launch her own book titled Rockers Juga Manusia exclusively at her June 10 concert.
The first of the three-part series, which was written by Ella, will shed light on her journey in the music industry.
Aside from that, Ella also said that she and her team had been planning the concert for a while now and settled on Hitman Solutions to be the organiser.
The Jilid Akhir: Ella Puteri Kota concert will see Ella performing a total of 35 songs from her greatest hits archive which includes her famous ‘Sepi Sekuntum Mawar Merah’.
"Yes, I want to perform that song because it is one of my late father’s favourite songs.
"So, I don’t know what will happen when I perform that song later. Hopefully it will go smoothly. Because I don’t want to be overcome by emotions while on stage,” she said.
Ella also said that the ticket price for her 35th anniversary concert will be affordable to all as she wanted all of her fans both local and international to come.
She added that some ticket sales from the concert will also be donated to those affected by the current flood which has hit a few states in Malaysia including Johor and Pahang.
Ticket price for Jilid Akhir: Ella Puteri Kota will range from RM99 to RM499.
Tickets will go on sale this March 13 at 12pm via www.hitmanlive.com.
