A local publisher in Malaysia is giving away free books to those who have gotten their dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Till June 30, the Kuala Lumpur-based Fixi, known for publishing titles like the KL Noir series of short stories and horror novel Dark Demon Rising by Tunku Halim, announced today that it was giving a free book to anyone who can show proof of vaccination at their stores, located at Sunway Putra Mall and Setia Alam, respectively.
“#CucukBersamaFixi (#JabWithFixi) Since our Sunway Putra Mall store is near a vaccination facility (PWTC), we would like to offer a free book from Fixi for those who have obtained their vaccination cards. Just show it to us at the counter,” the publisher wrote. The World Trade Center along with Universiti Malaya in KL, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in Bangi, and Ideal Convention Centre in Shah Alam, Selangor have been designated as vaccination centers.
Thousands of people in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor last week volunteered for the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
“This offer extends to our Setia Alam location too. Until 30 June #CucukMyAZ (#JabMyAZ),” Fixi added.
The offer is limited to books worth up to RM20 (US$4). Each person is allowed to redeem one free book.
