Malaysian Rescue Team Sent to Turkey After Quakes Applauded as They Head Back Home

Members of a Malaysian disaster management team dispatched to Turkey after catastrophic earthquakes struck the country this month were applauded as they returned home on February 22.

The Turkish ambassador to Malaysia expressed his gratitude in Malay and Turkish, saying, “No explanation is needed. Terima kasih! Teşekkürler!”

The Turkish Embassy in Malaysia tweeted, “Thank you for saving lives and for your relentless efforts! We will never forget…Terima Kasih!"
