Malaysian men call 6 January "The Unluckiest Day for All Men" because of Syamsul Yusof

9 Jan – The news of Syamsul Yusof's second marriage to Ira Kazar that came out on 6 January has caused much debate on social media that men are now calling it "The Unluckiest Day for Men in All of Malaysia".

While the news of the marriage angered women - married or otherwise - everywhere, with many slamming Syamsul for infidelity and Ira for being the other woman, it was the men who had to bear the brunt of the anger.

"Thank you, Syamsul. Because of you, the women think all men are the same," said one netizen.

"Today is an unlucky day for all men. What did we do?" said another.

"Imagine. Your husband woke up today, went for Subuh prayer, then to the market, then bought you breakfast. Suddenly, he came home and got scolded by you because Syamsul Yusof married Ira Kazar. How dumb is that?" another posted.

"All men are the same, except for Sajat," another joked, referring to the transgender entrepreneur.

It was back on 6 January that the "Mat Kilau" director admitted to have married Kazar Saisi's daughter Ira in Thailand, after months of denying any relationship between the two of them.

Wife Puteri Sarah Liyana had previously opened up about the conflict in their marriage, saying that Syamsul had been cheating on her for the past four years and that the other woman had been harassing her as well.
