Malaysian man who raped 2 biological daughters gets 428 years jail, 240 strokes
A 56-year-old Malaysian man who raped his two biological daughters was on Tuesday (20 September) jailed for 428 years along with 240 strokes of the cane.
The culprit pleaded guilty in a Melaka Sessions Court to 28 charges of rape and sexual assault against his daughters, who are now aged 15 and 19, according to media reports. The offences had taken place since 2015.
The man, who worked in an investment company and has five children in all, also pleaded guilty to intimidating his 47-year-old second wife, for which he was received a two-year jail term. He has two wives.
As his sentences were ordered to run concurrently, the culprit will serve 45 years behind bars and will be caned the maximum 24 strokes.
According to media reports, the offences came to light when the man's second wife caught him in the act of raping the younger victim in September last year. She later made a police report.
The culprit started raping both victims after they turned 12. The elder victim was abused from 2015 to 2018 while the younger victim was abused from 2019.
