Malaysian actress Nabila Huda criticised for laughing at TikTok chef recreating her fried rice recipe

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17 —Actress Nabila Huda Suhaimi has gained backlash from online users for mocking a TikTok chef’s fried rice recipe.

In a recorded Instagram story posted to Twitter on October 15, the actress laughed at an unnamed TikTok user's video recreating her fried rice recipe without following the correct steps.

Nabila’s fried rice recipe on TikTok, posted on September 26, went viral and inspired many TikTok users to record their attempts to recreate the recipe.

Twitter users were unhappy with the actress’ mocking laughter at the TikTok user's video.

In a video response on TikTok, Nabila claimed that she did not mean to insult the TikTok users cooking, however, she did not apologise to enraged online users.

“What makes you feel so bad that you want to create a big issue that causes people to curse me in various ways?” the actress said in her TikTok video.

“If you want to be an influencer, be an influencer who influences things that are beneficial. Not with the intention of posting to go viral asking for sympathy and gaining attention and viewers just because of one very small thing.”

The Munafik actress also added that she laughs at TikTok videos recreating her recipes because she admired the creativity of her fans cooking in their own way.
