"I'm 57 and I've never had a makeup lesson. So it was wonderful. // It was just so nice. It was just something that was a little bit of nicety out of the whole of the doom and gloom."

International charity Look Good Feel Better

has been organizing workshops for some 30 years

The sessions were moved online last year

allowing high-risk patients to participate safely

(SOUNDBITE) (English) CANCER PATIENT, BEV FRANCIS-GREEN, SAYING:

"I wouldn't ask my consultant about my skin going dry or any of those things because he might view it as vanity so it's nice to go and be somewhere where people understand, understand women, understand women's needs and understand that, it's not, we don't want to look like glamour models. It's nothing to do with that, it's to do with if you take care of your skin and the way you look on the outside, you feel so much better on the inside."
