American cosmetics brand Nyx announced yesterday that it would shut down all physical and online stores in Malaysia.
In a Facebook post, the brand thanked its “fierce community” for the passion, energy, and support they’ve received since they opened their first flagship store at IOI Putrajaya in May 2017.
“We sincerely thank you for all the love, energy, passion & enthusiasm from our fierce beauty junkies community,” the post by Nyx Professional Makeup Malaysia said.
“They were many incredible moments with lots of glitter, color, and amazing makeup artistry,” the brand added.
Four branches in Mid Valley, KLCC, IOI Putrajaya, and Sunway Pyramid respectively have already closed since June.
The remaining stores in Sogo, Fahrenheit 88, and Genting Highlands will shut on July 31.
The Los Angeles-based brand encouraged its fans to buy products from its e-commerce stores on online platforms like Shopee, Lazada, and Hermo, which will be around until Sep 30.
From October onwards, Malaysian beauty lovers will have to get their Nyx holy grail products from international sources like Amazon, ASOS, and Lookfantastic.
