Maine State Police reveal shooting suspect identified by discovery of nearby vehicle

Maine State Police have confirmed that the mass shooting suspect was identified after the discovery of a nearby vehicle.

A manhunt is underway to catch 40-year-old Robert Card, who has been described as “armed and dangerous”.

Card is wanted in connection to two mass shootings in Lewiston, Maine, that left 18 people dead and 13 injured on Wednesday night (25 October).

At a press conference on Thursday, Colonel William G Ross of Maine State Police said that a vehicle had been found in the nearby town of Lisbon.

“That person, through the registration of that vehicle, was identified - it has been stated earlier - as Robert Card, born in 1983,” Colonel Ross said.
