Maine Authorities Warn of Treacherous Travel as Winter Storm Moves Through
A winter storm swept through southern Maine overnight into Monday, January 23, prompting officials to warn against travel.
Footage captured by Max Thiele shows snow falling in downtown Portland on Sunday night.
In a tweet on Monday morning, Maine State Police said several vehicles were involved in crashes or slide-offs, with five cars awaiting assistance.
“Please limit your speed and avoid traveling if possible,” they added.
