Maggie Cheung Ho Yee is similar to character in "Single Papa"

13 May – Making her television comeback in ViuTV's "Single Papa", Maggie Cheung Ho Yee stated that she was interested in the role given to her as it seemed tailor-made for her.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who appeared at the press conference of the said ViuTV drama, shared that she will be playing the role of a top executive who enjoys her single life, but gradually falls in love with Ronald Cheng's single father character.

"She has dated different types of the opposite sex, but she still likes being single. The new drama is mainly about the urban love, asking the question whether a woman would choose appearance over soul," she said.

When asked what she would choose in reality, Maggie stated that the soul is more important to her.

"Having a good-looking partner may be great for a while, but when you are having some ups and downs, you will know what actually suits you best. But I haven't met this person yet. You can say that the character and I have that similarity," she said.

The upcoming drama also co-stars Filipino actress Crisel Consunji, who previously won Best Newcomer at the 2019 Hong Kong Film Awards for her role in "Still Human". Crisel will play the role of Ronald Cheng son's teacher who will help the father and son pass through their grief of losing the woman in their lives.
