Tourists are returning to the renowned party island Magaluf

after the UK government gave the green light for travel to the Balearic Islands

bringing welcome relief for local businesses

(SOUNDBITE) (English) GENERAL MANAGER AT "HAPPY HOUSE" RESTAURANT, DINO ZAMORA, 56, SAYING:

"Remember we are doing fifty percent less if not more than fifty percent less than other years. And obviously we still have all our bills to pay, our rents to pay, our staff to pay so we do need the massive British tourism. Lots of bars have closed down because they can't afford to stay open, there are lots of bars up this street which won't open this year either because they've gone bankrupt, a lot of owners have just handed the keys back over. And that is all because of the lack of British tourism."

(SOUNDBITE) (English) GENERAL MANAGER AT "HAPPY HOUSE" RESTAURANT, DINO ZAMORA, 56, SAYING:

"At the moment it is picking up a little bit. There are a few more British arriving and hopefully there is more to come."
