MAGA senator Tommy Tuberville claims President-elect Trump has made Christmas great again.

The Trump ally and retired football coach took to X on Christmas Eve to sing his praises for the president-elect somehow saving Christmas, writing, “Thanks to President Trump, Christmas is back in America.” His post alludes to a long-held belief by MAGA loyalists that Democrats or the general left despise Christmas and actively work to suppress the holiday’s festivities and traditions.

While the Alabama lawmaker’s post was cheered on by like-minded Trump devotees, it also was mocked by a host of X users and slew of Democratic members.

“When idiots say stupid things,” Democratic Party strategist Chris D. Jackson wrote atop Tuberville’s post.

“Trump saved Christmas,” Former Republican Club President Ron Filipkowski added mockingly.

Other X users also chimed in, some asking Tuberville to lay off the eggnog, and others expressing how the holidays shouldn’t be made political.

“Christmas is about Christ, but somehow MAGA wants to make it about their god Trump. Sickening,” posted attorney Luis Hernández along with a sick-face emoji.

“Really? What was I celebrating on 12/25/23, 12/25/22, 12/25/21? What a dishonest and dopey comment by someone who knows better,” wrote lawyer Tom Ryan.

Over the summer, Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz threw a not-so subtle jab at Tuberville, telling Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey during a fundraiser in Boston: “I feel like one of my roles in this now is to be the anti-Tommy Tuberville, to show that football coaches are not the dumbest people.”
