KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 23 — Queens of pop Madonna and Britney Spears may be reuniting on stage soon!

Madonna has reportedly wanted Spears to join her on stage for one of her upcoming Celebration tour shows in Los Angeles, sources tell PageSix.

The two popstars are longtime friends who have performed onstage together, most infamously at the MTV Music Awards in 2003.

They were last seen at Spear's wedding to her now ex-husband Sam Asghari on June 2022, singing Madonna’s hit song Vogue.

“Madonna originally wanted Britney to join her on tour this year,” a source told PageSix.

“Everything was pushed back because of her illness, but she still wants Britney to join her at the Kia Forum.”

In June, Madonna was rushed to an intensive care unit in New York after developing a serious bacterial infection which made her reschedule her greatest hits tour.

The source said that she is now ‘extremely healthy’ and is preparing to begin rehearsals in London for her tour launch at the O2 Arena on October 14.

“Madonna’s entire tour crew are heading to London in the last week of September to start rehearsing in Brixton,” the source said.

“They will also be given access to the O2 a day early on October 13 to set up and do a full dress rehearsal.”

“Some of the dance routines have been toned down for Madonna so that it’s not so strenuous. She’s focusing more on being the frontrunner rather than trying to keep up with the backing dancers.”

The source added that she will put on a good show and her team will ensure she is in good health to continue the tour.

Meanwhile, Spears is going through her divorce from Asghari and is releasing a memoir The Woman In Me which will be available on October 24.

Sources close to Spears told PageSix that she is writing some new music soon with ‘some big artists’.

Madonna and Spears last performed together on stage during the former’s Sticky and Sweet tour in 2008 at Dodgers Stadium in Los Angeles
