M. Nasir saddened by Pyan Habib's passing

6 Jun – Saddened by the passing of Pyan Habib, Dato' M. Nasir revealed that the actor and poet had been the most loyal friend to him and others.

Speaking to the media about Pyan, real name Mohd Supyan Abdul Rahman, who passed away on 4 June at his home in Hulu Kelang, the multi-hyphenate stated, "He was a loyal friend and thus Pyan asked for the same loyalty from his friends. He was someone who was very supportive of those close to him, no matter what."

"Among his words that I still remember was, no matter what happens, we have to continue on," he added.

When asked the last time he met with his "Kembara Seniman Jalanan" co-star, M. Nasir said that they collaborated in the promotional video of his upcoming "Dato MN45ir Cipta" concert that will be held on 10 August.

"We shot the promotional video on 14 May. At the time, I noticed how thin he was. I wouldn't say I was surprised by the news of his death, because the physical changes to his body was obvious at the time," he added.

Pyan was last seen on TV playing the role of a mysterious man in the Astro series, "Imam Instant Ustazah Scammer". The actor also starred in various movies that include "Tsu Feh Sofiah", "Mat Som", and "Rock Oo!"

He was 66.
