M&M’s never fails to keep us on our toes with new varieties — have you seen the sugar cookie flavor?! Next year is already looking good, because it looks like we’ll be getting the new M&M’s Key Lime Pie flavor.
We know this information is making your day right now, but let’s remain calm (note to self). A picture of the new M&M’s flavor has been low-key posted on Meijer’s website, as spotted by Instagram account @candyhunting. The packaging shows a 2.47-ounce bag of the variety with white and various shades of green candies, complete with Ms. Green in a tropical hat and holding a slice of key lime pie.
The description on Meijer’s website doesn’t give any additional details, unfortunately, so we can only go off of the packaging. We know that the candies are made with white chocolate, and a classic key lime pie consists of a graham cracker crust, key lime filling, and whipped cream topping. Key limes are tarter and more floral than the typical lime. So taking all of these things into consideration, this is what we can expect in the candies.
Although we don’t have an exact date for when the M&M’s Key Lime Pie flavor will hit stores, Meijer’s indicates that it’s an Easter candy. That leads us to believe that it’ll be out around March 2021, right before the holiday. Maybe we’ll find it alongside that Fruity Pebbles White Chocolate Rabbit!
