Lunar Eclipse Captured Over Long Island, New York

A lunar eclipse was seen above New York early on Tuesday, November 8, as residents woke up on election day.

This footage was posted to Facebook by local photographer My New York, who said they captured it just after 5 am on Tuesday morning in Long Island.

According to NASA, this was the last total lunar eclipse until 2025. It was visible across North and Central America, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. Credit: My New York via Storyful
