Luke Combs Refunds Maine Concert Tickets Due to Sore Throat

Luke Combs refunded a concert on September 3, the second day of his tour, in Bangor, Maine, because he felt his voice wasn’t up to par.

Video recorded by Kelsey Pina shows the American country star apologize to the crowd and offer full refunds as he was struggling with a sore throat, but promised to put on a show for as long as he could.

Pina wrote in the original posting of the video: “Despite the defeat on his face and his sore throat, he and the boys put on a hell of a show for as long as he could.”

This wasn’t Combs’s first generous act since kicking off his Middle of Somewhere Tour; the previous night, the musician refunded two kids who stacked wood to earn the money to buy tickets.

During the September 3 show, Combs tells the crowd, “I have to let you know that I have refunded all of your tickets." Credit: Kelsey Pina via Storyful
