Lucy Li denies being suspended by TVB

10 Oct – TVB actress and presenter Lucy Li has dismissed rumours saying that she has been suspended by TVB due to her political stance.

As reported on Mingpao, the "Come Home Love" actress, who spoke to the media following the suspension rumours, stated that she was stunned after hearing it, as she has never made any political statement on social media.

"I am working as usual. I didn't receive any notice from TVB about a change in my work arrangements," she said.

Lucy also stated that she doesn't have a lot of hosting jobs for now as she has been busy preparing for her upcoming November wedding.

The rumour sparked following reports that several actors and staff of the said company have been dismissed due to their support for the Hong Kong independence movement.

Among those whose contract had not been renewed include actor Joe Tay and presenter Lam Chi Po. It was also speculated that TVB darling Ali Lee has also been on forced hiatus due to her previous social media post about politics.
