Lover Prompted by Favorite Song Proposes to Girlfriend at Taylor Swift's Philadelphia Gig

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has proved once again to be the ultimate romantic setting for love bugs, as one man went down on one knee during the song Lover at a May 13 Philadelphia concert.

Christian Walston told Storyful that he and his girlfriend Jenna had been dating for three years and were both fans of the American superstar. When the pair secured tickets for the Eras Tour show in Philadelphia, Walston knew this was the perfect setting to propose.

He said that while at the hotel room, he wrote a note for people who would be seated around them. “In the note I asked to be recorded during Lover as I planned to propose.”

The Swift song, he said, “has a special meaning to Jenna, and she repeatedly said she wants that song to be our first dance.”

The lovely moment was caught on camera by concert-goer Brianna Kennedy-Beal, who, according to Walston, immediately agreed to record upon receiving the note. Credit: Christian Walston via Storyful

[MUSIC - TAYLOR SWIFT - "LOVER"]

- We could let our friends crash in the living room. This is our place. We make the call. And I'm highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you. I've loved your three summers now, honey. But I want them all. Can I go where you go? Can we always be this close forever and ever?

And take me out and take me home. Forever and ever. You're my my my my lover. Ladies and gentlemen, will you please stand? With every guitar strings scar on my head, I take this magnetic force of a man to be my lover.
