There could be trouble in paradise for Love Island frontrunners Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole, according to recently dumped contestant Sharon Gaffka.

Gaffka suggested to the Mirror that "Jake’s head could be turned" when the show's second villa — known as Casa Amor — opens this week.

Casa Amor splits the show's boys and girls for a week, with both groups subsequently tested by the arrival of new members of the opposite sex.

And Gaffka, who was dumped from the island last week, is worried about how Cornish will react.

She said: “I think Lib is going to stay loyal, but Jake’s head could be turned. I could be proved wrong and I want to be proved wrong.”

Jake and Liberty became the first couple to officially become boyfriend and girlfriend this week, following an elaborate romantic stunt planned by Jake involving all of the other Islanders.

At the end of Friday's episode, the show revealed a telling glimpse of Casa Amor, suggesting the "ultimate test" is on the way very soon.

After accepting his proposal, Liberty said "I love you", but Jake didn't reciprocate, which has caused many on social media to question whether his feelings are as strong as hers.

In terms of the other contestants, Gaffka described Liam Reardon and Millie Court as "one of the strongest couples" and tipped them to "stay strong" even in the face of temptation.

She also said early signs were good for her pal Kaz Kamwi and new beau Tyler Cruickshank, as well as Faye Winter and Teddy Soares.

"Teddy’s put a lot of effort in, not just with Faye but also her friends," said Gaffka. “They have a strong bond. I think Faye found what she is looking for in Teddy.”

Gaffka also teased that Hugo Hammond chose to save Chloe Burrows from elimination this week because he has "fancied her pretty much from day one".
