When English actor Erin Doherty isn’t playing Princess Anne on Netflix’s hit show The Crown, you can most likely find her at home in her favorite room of the house: the kitchen. “It’s where the food is! And where the dancing happens,” she said recently.
And though Doherty may normally be portraying royalty, today she stars in a new ad campaign and film for British interior design brand OKA. Though the brand is best known in the U.K. for its elegant furniture and accessories (it launched back in 1999 as a mail order company), it ventured across the pond in 2019 via a web store and, on April 1, opened its first U.S. brick-and-mortar store in Houston with plans to open stores nationwide.
OKA’s collaboration with Doherty promotes its spring/summer 2021 collection and showcases how comfort and creativity can coexist. The actor is shown in her home, after a long day on set, lounging on her sofa. In a press release, she shares that her interior style is “minimal, yet cozy,” and she drums up some of OKA’s staple pieces such as its Crosby armchair in ash gray and its Marylebone coffee table in ebonized oak. The result? A warm and welcoming look with just the right amount of classic prints and patterns. See how Erin Doherty and OKA teamed up by checking out their film here.
