Louis Koo shares context story of his HKFA appearance with Anita Yuen
23 Apr - Louis Koo recently revealed the reason why he appeared as a presenter alongside Anita Yuen at the Hong Kong Film Awards (HKFA), despite Sean Lau's name being announced prior to them coming on stage.
As reported on Oriental Daily, the actor-producer recently went on Weibo to share the story, which he jokingly titled, "I am Sean Lau".
"At this year's Hong Kong Film Awards, the Best Actor award was originally supposed to be presented by Sean Lau and Anita Yuen, the protagonists of 'Endless Love'. However, due to Sean Lau not feeling well, I went instead to represent him," he wrote.
He continued, "I thought, maybe it's better to just let him appear as 'Louis Koo', and let them use the theme song of 'Endless Love' and introduce me as Sean Lau. For a moment, everyone thought that the announcer made a mistake. I hope everyone doesn't mind my joke."
Fans couldn't help but laugh at Louis' sense of humour. One follower posted, "Brother Koo is as humorous and funny as ever. You and Sean make the most perfect pair."
