Louis Cheung: No regrets signing with Stephen Shiu Jr.

11 Aug – Louis Cheung recently dismissed the idea that he regretted choosing Stephen Shiu Jr.'s company HMV Digital over TVB, seeing that the company had reduced a lot of projects in the past year prior to his departure.

As reported on Oriental Daily, the actor whose contract with the company ended in July, stated that his decision to sign with Stephen's company instead of sticking with TVB over the dispute between the two parties was due to the fact that he wanted to do more movies instead of staying on as a television actor.

"Over the past three years, [Stephen and I] had a very pleasant cooperation. We made a lot of movies, though some have yet to be released. Life is a journey, and every stop has its own challenge," he said.

At the same time, Louis stated that he is thankful to TVB for giving him a lot of opportunities.

Now that he is signed with Louis Koo's production, Louis is not against making a TVB comeback, although stressed that he will be working on a lot of projects in the near future.

"The most important thing is having a good script," he said.

Back in 2018, HMV Digital China and TVB went to court over the issue surrounding the film adaptation of "Return of the Cuckoo", affecting not only the relationship between the two companies but also its actors.
