Zoom has been great for the odd work meeting or quiz with friends during the COVID-19 lockdown, but for TV interviews it has been a bit hit-and-miss.
First, the host asked her opening question but was met with an awkward silence as she hadn't actually addressed which Tom she was referring to.
It then turned out that Tom Taylor couldn't actually hear the interview and was taken off camera while the technical wizards attempted to fix the problem, but they didn't manage it.
Getting a little flustered with the issues, Lorraine said: "I'm sorry there are some communication problems, it's like when you know you're phoning your pals and it's really hard because you're like 'what, what?'"
With viewers on Twitter branding Hollander a bit "grumpy" and the interview a "car crash", Lorraine later jumped to the actor's defence.
She retweeted an article about the actor seemingly not being in the best mood during the interview and added: "I actually thought he was adorable - zoom calls can sometimes be tricky."
While this was down to the wonders of technology, Lorraine has had her fair share of awkward interviews over her time as host of the long-running show.
Just recently, she made Love Island narrator Iain Stirling a little uncomfortable with questions about when he might be popping the question to his girlfriend Laura Whitmore.
"Lorraine, this was not in the research chat," he replied. "I expected better from you!"
Although the host and Iain both laughed it off, she nudged him again later on with an offer to officiate his potential wedding.
"Lorraine, we're gonna do it in Dundee, and you're going to officiate it," he joked.
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
