Former BBC chairman Lord Grade has said that the findings from Lord Dyson's report into the BBC's handling of its Princess Diana Panorama interview in 1995 "undermines BBC journalism". During an interview with Channel 4 News, Lord Grade said: "The BBC is very very important to us… so it matters a great deal that confidence is shaken and that the BBC has made a mistake like this.".
