Looting Occurs for 2nd Night After Police Shooting of Wallace Jr. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Looting was reported in parts of Philadelphia on Tuesday, October 27, the day following the fatal police shooting of a black man, Walter Wallace Jr, in West Philadelphia.

Footage taken by Mike Torres at the Mayfield Mall shows individuals running in and out of a Gamestop and other stores.

“They’re looting Gamestop,” an onlooker says. “They’re looting Gamestop, right here.”

Philadelphia Police have launched an investigation into the shooting. Local media citing officials reported the incident occurred on October 26, after officers responded to a domestic incident on the 6100 block of Locust Street and encountered a man with a knife.

The shooting sparked protests across the city, with looting also reported.
