Longest-known Covid patient dies after ending treatment

A 49-year-old man who is believed to have been the UK's longest suffering Covid patient has died after withdrawing treatment. Jason Kelk passed away peacefully having battled 15 months of illness at St James’ Hospital in Leeds. His widow says she had 'begged him' not to withdraw treatment, but despite following through on his wishes he has still 'given hope' to Covid sufferers and reinforced the message to 'abide by the rules'.
