Londoners Evacuate Clapham Common Tube Station After Fire Alert

Video shows smashed windows on a London Underground train at Clapham Common station on May 5, after passengers broke the glass and pried closed doors open to escape cars filled with smoke, according to people at the scene.

Transport for London (TfL) confirmed that “a fire alert” at the station was causing severe delays on the Northern line.

Footage verified by Storyful shows passengers climbing through smashed windows and trying to open the closed train doors.
