Loma Fire breaks out in California

The so-called "Loma Fire", that broke out in a Westside neighborhood of Santa Barbara, scorched at least 20 acres of bursh and damaged at least one home before firefighters managed to contain it overnight.

The fire is now 40% contained, NBC reported, citing Santa Barbara County fire officials. Gusty wind conditions fanned the flames that also threatened 50 other homes and commercial buildings in the area, NBC reported.
