Lockdown Measures Cruelly Cut Off Girl's Opportunity to Balance Farm Birds on Her Head

Coronavirus restrictions have changed most people’s routines, but for Melbourne mum Stefania Brunetti and her daughter it’s meant an end to a very unusual tradition.

On a near-weekly basis, the pair would visit the Peninsula Mobile Farm in the city’s Prahran Market, where a number of the farm birds would sit on head of Brunetti’s daughter.

“This was a fun activity that my daughter and I did together on a weekly basis,” she told Storyful after sharing footage of her daughter’s hilarious interactions with the birds on Instagram on September 5.

The footage as captured in 2018 and 2019, and the pair have yet to return to the market since lockdown restrictions began to take hold in Australia earlier in the year.

“I miss chicken day so much it hurts,” Brunetti wrote on Instagram in August. At least she has these adorable videos to keep the memories alive. Credit: Stefania Brunetti via Storyful
