Keep up to date with all the Liverpool transfer news and speculation during the January transfer window.

Liverpool managed to sign their top transfer target during the summer transfer window, bringing in Darwin Nunez in a deal worth a potential £86million. They also added Fabio Carvalho and Calvin Ramsay to the squad on permanent deals.

Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Manchester City in the Community Shield, but they had had a slow start to the Premier League season and face a battle to finish in the top four.

The Liverpool squad could be set for a significant overhaul this year and we’ve taken a look at all the players they are being linked with and who the original source of the story is.

The summer transfer window officially closed at 11pm, Thursday 1 September, with this list featuring any transfer line with regards incomings and outgoing at Anfield since then…

Jude Bellingham

Since moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2020, Bellingham has developed into one of the most sought-after players in European football.

The midfielder is reportedly Jurgen Klopp’s top transfer target in 2023 and we’ve compiled the latest rumours surrounding Liverpool’s interest in Bellingham.

– Liverpool can compete finacially with Real Madrid and Anfield is Bellingham’s most likely destination in the summer. (Kaveh Solhekol, January 24).

– Liverpool are offering Bellingham the possibility of becoming the new Steven Gerrard and are are optimistic of signing him in the summer as talks have already been held. (Sky Germany, January 20).

– Bellingham’s dad is talking to Liverpool about a potential transfer. Alongside Real Madrid and Manchester City, the Reds are leading the race for his signature. (Valentina Macerim, January 18).

– Alongside Wolves’ Matheus Nunes, Liverpool also want to sign Bellingham. (The Times, January 16).

– Liverpool are prepared to pay a higher salary than Real Madrid and could also employ his father Mark in a scouting role at Anfield in order to convince the midfielder to join them. (Nacional, January 10).

– There is confidence at Anfield that they could land Bellingham but they also know the player has options. (Graeme Bailey, January 8).

– Liverpool consider themselves frontrunners for the midfielder after assuring his family that there’s a plan in place. (Ben Jacobs, January 3).
