Announced this afternoon, an official statement read: "Little Mix: The Search has been postponed tonight for a BBC News Special.
"The show will now become part of a big final event weekend, with the semi-final airing at 7pm on Friday 6th November, and the final at 6.05pm on Saturday 7th November."
In response, fans of The Search wasted no time in sharing their verdict on this last-minute decision, as one individual wrote: "Damn, this was the only thing I had to look forward to this week."
"Please upload the girls' halloween performance to youtube tonight [sad emoji] thanks love you," pleaded someone else, while a third tweeted: "So sad, but we will all be supporting the girls, the groups and the entire LM the search team next week."
As we await next week's semi-final, many viewers believe they've already identified this year's winner of the show.
