Three-year-old Elijah was not expecting to see his baby sister stand and walk when he turned to her on August 21 at their home in Bletchley, England.

The video, recorded by mom Rebecca McGill, shows 10-month-old Nyla-Rose standing and walking a few steps, to her big brother’s great astonishment.

“Elijah has always been very attentive to Nyla-Rose,” McGill told Storyful. “[He] always gets excited when she does something new, we’ve made sure to include him in everything so that he doesn’t feel left out.”

In the adorable footage, the little boy gasps in awe when he looks at the baby beside him, his hands covering up his mouth while the toddler chuckles at her brother’s reaction.
