'Emmerdale' star Lisa Riley has come to terms with not having children
Lisa Riley says she has come to terms with not having children with fiancé Al after IVF heartbreak.
Talking to Closer about the pair’s struggles, Riley said that her fiancé was against her going through IVF again. "Al would never want me to go through IVF again because he said he lost the girl he fell in love with,” Riley said.
"I am so blessed with my wonderful nephews and nieces and godchildren and we have taken full ownership of our life.”

Riley, who got engaged to "soulmate" Al in 2018, says feels lucky and wouldn't change her life for the world.
2021 marks three years since they last underwent fertility treatment, and the pair seem to have found peace in their lives together.

Speaking in the past about why she keeps her love life so private, she said: "Everyone deserves a somebody, and I've had so many rubbish somebodies that I want to keep this one for me.”

The subject also infiltrated its way into her role as Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale last year when Dingle revealed she had suffered a miscarriage in a historic storyline for the soap.

Riley, 44, who returned to the Dales in 2019 after an 18-month break, revealed she had received an overwhelming response from viewers following the storyline and had tried to personally reply to everyone who had contacted her.
The Emmerdale star is a much-loved member of the soap, establishing her role as Mandy Dingle in 1995.
